Gisteren bracht de postbode het laatste pakket van de bom Worthing Downs. Ik wacht wel even tot de temperatuur in huis wat gedaald is, voor ik hier mee aan de gang ga.

Yesterday the postmen brought the last bom Worthing Downs. I wait until the temperature in the house is normal, befor I start with the last border.

En vandaag ben ik op de inloopbee geweest van Quiltmuis in Oosthuizen. Ik ben weer lekker opgeschoten met de grote roset van La Passacaglia. Nu nog maar één rand.

And today I went to the bee of Quiltmuis in Oosthuizen. I have almost finished a large roset of La Passacaglia. I have started with the last border.

 

Het is mij gelukt. Alle 54 blokjes voor de rand van Worthing Downs zijn af. Komende week komt de laatste bom. Dan kan ik de rand afmaken en ook de top.

I have managed it. All 54 blocks of the border of Worthing Downs are finished. Next week I hope to get the last bom. Than I can finish the border and the top.

Ik ga nu maar weer verder met de grote roset van La Passacaglia. Kan ik deze ook weer afmaken.

Now I am sewing one of the largest rosettes of La Passacaglia.

 

Deze week weer 17 blokken voor de border van Worthing Downs afgekregen.

This week I have finished 17 blocks for the border of Worthing Downs.

En de grote roset van La Passacaglia is bijna klaar. Nog één rand.

And the big rosette of La Passacaglia is nearly finished. Only one border to go.

 

De eerste werkweek zit er weer op. Toch is het mij nog gelukt om 's avonds 14 blokjes voor de rand van Worthing Downs te maken. Nog 40 te gaan.

The first week work after the Holidays has passed. Still I managed to finish 14 blocks for the border of Worthing Downs. 40 to go.

En de laatste week vakantie is weer voorbij. Maar ik heb wel veel kunnen doen aan de Worthing Downs. Alle banen zitten nu om het middenblok. Natuurlijk was er een blok die ik moest uithalen en opnieuw doen. Was iets te groot.

And the last week of my holiday has passed. But I have been able to do a lot of sewing for Worthing Downs. All the rows are sewed around the centerblock. And I had to unsew one block. It was to big.

Gelukkig bracht de postbode het pakket van maand 17. En mocht ik 216 vierkantjes snijden voor de border.

The mailman brought bom nr. 17 of Worthing Downs. I had to cut 216 squares.

 En ik heb in de kringloopwinkel een ouderwetse strijkbout met onderzetter gekocht.

And I bought a old iron.

 

Deze week weer een roset afgekregen van La Passacaglia. En natuurlijk direct aan de anderen vastgezet.

This week I have finished another rosette of La Passacaglia. And directly sewed to the other ones.

En ik ben begonnen met het verwerken van de blokken van Worthing Downs tot randen. 

And I have started to sew the blocks of Worthing Downs in a row around the centerblock.

 

 

De eerste week vakantie hebben we doorgebracht in de Limburgse Peel. Behalve een zonnig kleurtje is er weer een roset van La Passacaglia afgekomen en negen blokken van Worthing Downs. Volgende week wil ik een start maken met het aan elkaar zetten van de blokken tot randen om het middenblok.

The first week of our holiday we spent in the Limburgse Peel. I got a sunny look now. And I have finished another rosette of La Passacaglia. And nign blocks of Worthing Downs. Next week I wil try to make a start of sewing the blocks to several rows around the  centerblock.
